Thank you to everyone who joined me live on Saturday August 22 at 10 AM.
If you missed it I got you. We had a real heart to heart about exfoliation and why it is the key to skin that glows instead of just getting by. This live was special because it was our last big teach in before the grand relaunch of RiteChus Pure Gold Sugar Scrub Collection skin care on September 1.
Why We Started With The Basics I opened with my favorite graphic Basic Steps To Keep Skin Healthy because exfoliation does not work alone.
1. Daily: cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, SPF and vitamins
2. Weekly: exfoliation plus wash your pillowcases and clean your makeup brushes
3. Monthly: professional facials
4. Yearly: dermatologist check in
So many of us are faithful with daily steps but skip the weekly reset. That is where buildup happens. Dead skin, extra oil, leftover product. Then we wonder why moisturizer will not sink in or why texture shows up. What We Covered Live
1. Why your skin needs exfoliation When dead cells stay on the surface they trap oil and clog pores. That leads to dullness, rough patches and those little flesh colored bumps. Gentle exfoliation breaks that bond and lets fresh skin come forward.
2. How often is enough For most skin types one to two times a week with a gentle scrub is perfect. Your skin is working hard to renew itself. We want to support it not strip it. When you use harsh astringents that strip all your oil without adding moisture back your glands will make even more oil. It becomes a cycle.
3. The scrub matters I showed a few from the Gold Collection. Coffee Scrub The Firming One. Our caffeine infused classic. I love it for legs, arms and anywhere you want a tightening wake up effect.
Sea Salt and Sugar The Detoxer. A mix of brown sugar and white sea salt. This was the star of the live because it gives you a deep polish without feeling scratchy.
The Soother in Vanilla and Unscented plus Mint and Coconut and Almond. For my sensitive skin family and my moisture lovers. Mint for a refreshing and clarifying feel.
Coconut and Almond for softness and barrier repair. All are handcrafted, natural and made to work with your body.
My Top Takeaways From The Live Do not skip aftercare. Exfoliation opens the door. What you do after matters. Moisturize right after while skin is still a little damp. That locks in glow not dryness. Wash your pillowcases. We laughed about this on live but it is real. You can exfoliate perfectly and then sleep on a week old pillowcase.
Weekly exfoliation plus weekly pillowcase wash is a game changer. Listen to your skin not the trend. If your skin feels tight or burning or extra red you are overdoing it. Gentle circles, about sixty seconds per area, then rinse. Glow should never hurt.
What's Next This live set the stage for our September 1 relaunch with the full Gold Collection of seven luxe scrubs including Brown Sugar, Coffee and Vanilla. And I am already planning our next Facebook Live on October 3 where we will talk about changing your routine for fall and winter. If you were on the live thank you for your questions and your love. If you missed it the replay is on my Facebook and all the scrubs we talked about are now on the RiteChus Natural page.
